To all our patients and their families:
The COVID-19 vaccine has been approved for children ages 6 months to 5 years. We recommend the vaccine for all children in this age group to prevent the COVID-19 illness and the spread of the infection. We are to receive our first allotment of the Moderna vaccine this week and we are prepared to administer it as quickly and efficiently as possible.
We will be holding a COVID vaccine shot clinic on Saturday June 25 and Sunday June 26 from 11:00 am to 1:00pm (ages 6 months to 5 years, only).
Appointments can be made through the mobile app (myprivia) or the website- owingsmillspediatrics.com. (We are trying to enable the portal)
Schedule the appointment as “injection” with the nurse. If you are unable to schedule on-line please call the office to schedule the COVID shot appointments.
During the COVID shot times, we will not be able to give any other vaccines nor will we be able to perform any other administrative or medical tasks. Everyone will receive a card documenting the vaccine; if a shot record printout is needed, it will be available on the portal by the end of the day for you to print out at home.
We expect to be receiving additional doses in the upcoming weeks. If you are unable to receive the vaccine in the first wave, do not panic. Additional doses will be available in short order. At this point, we can only vaccinate active patients of our office.
