Personal Interests

In my free time, I am often in my studio, composing music or recording podcast episodes. I love reading, and I especially love children’s books featuring characters with health conditions. I also enjoy spending time outdoors in nature, running or hiking.

Biography

Dr. Umoren was born and raised in Nigeria, and moved to the United States at the age of twelve. She completed her pediatric residency training in 2018 and took her first job as a hospitalist at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. There, she worked in the Bone Marrow Transplant unit, caring for children with cancer, blood disorders and immune system problems. She joined Owings Mills Pediatrics in 2022 after moving to Maryland to be closer to family.
